As the number of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) cases in the United States increases, we continue to monitor and mitigate risks for Longhorn Village team members and residents. Our leadership team reviews the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and city and state recommendations daily. We will continue to share critical and relevant information with you regarding steps we are taking to keep our community safe
To continue to provide safety and security for our residents and team members, we have made the decision to restrict all visitors to our campus until further notice. Exceptions to this precaution include visits to hospice residents imminently close to end of life, and those who are gravely ill. These exceptions will be considered rare and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
We are reevaluating these precautions daily and will make changes as guidance recommends it.
We believe restricting outside visitors will reduce infection control risks moving forward. There are a number of ways for you to stay in touch with your loved ones including:
- Make frequent phone calls.
- Use Facetime or Skype to connect.
- Send your message through Care Cards at https://longhornvillage.com/about-us/care-cards/
- Mail a care package or card.
We appreciate your support in keeping our residents and team members safe. Please feel free to reach out at any time with concerns or questions.
